Egypt's e-invoicing system, run by the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA), requires VAT-registered companies to issue their business-to-business invoices electronically: each document is sent to the ETA in its JSON or XML format, signed with the company's certificate, and receives a unique ID. Dopave is a cloud ERP for Egyptian and Gulf businesses that builds each invoice, credit note and debit note in the ETA document format — with item codes, tax types and VAT at 14% — and submits it through the e-invoicing integrator you connect, which signs it with your certificate.

Customers pay online through Paymob (cards, wallets, Fawry), and payments are matched to their invoices.
Questions about e-invoicing in Egypt
Do I still need a signing certificate?
Yes. The ETA requires each document to be signed with your company's certificate (USB token or HSM). In Dopave, the integrator you connect holds and uses it.
Does Dopave cover e-receipts (B2C)?
Not yet. The e-receipt system for sales to consumers is a separate ETA system; Dopave covers e-invoices between businesses today.
Is the system in Arabic?
Yes — every screen, report and printed invoice is available in Arabic and English, right-to-left throughout.
