Wage protection in Saudi Arabia: Mudad and WPS

What the monthly salary file is, when it is due, and what late or odd payments trigger.

Under Saudi Arabia's Wage Protection System, private-sector employers pay salaries through the banking system and submit a monthly wage protection file on the Mudad platform, so the Ministry of Human Resources can see that each worker was paid what their contract says, on time. Mudad reminds the employer when wages fall due, again after 10 days and finally on day 15; if the file is still missing after 20 days, an inspection is requested automatically.

Wages out of line

Pay far below or above what is usual for the role.

No proof of payment

Wages withheld, or paid without a record of the payment.

Questions

What does Dopave produce for wage protection?

Dopave keeps each employee's salary parts (basic, housing, transport and other allowances), their IBAN and the month's net pay, and exports a salary transfer file for your bank and the UAE's WPS salary file (SIF). It does not yet produce Mudad's own upload layout, so the Mudad file is prepared from that data.

Does Dopave stop deductions above half the wage?

The payslip shows every deduction line with its reason, so a month where deductions run high is visible before payroll is approved.
